Morning: River Breeze, Ancient Palaces & Local Life

08:00 AM – Dragon Boat Ride to Thien Mu Pagoda

Your guide and driver will pick you up directly from your hotel lobby. Head to the Toa Kham pier and board a traditional dragon boat for a smooth 30-minute cruise along the Perfume River. Arrive at Thien Mu Pagoda, a seven-story tower overlooking the river, known as the spiritual heart of Hue.

09:30 AM – The Imperial Citadel & Dong Ba Market

Continue by car to the Hue Imperial Citadel. Walk through historic gates, red-lacquered corridors, and quiet courtyards while learning fascinating stories about Vietnam’s last royal emperors. Afterward, head to Dong Ba Market, the city’s largest market, to see vibrant stalls filled with fresh produce, spices, local crafts, and everyday items.

12:00 PM – Authentic Local Lunch

Pause for an included local lunch. Hue is known for dishes such as bun bo Hue, banh beo, banh nam, banh loc and nem lui; the dishes served depend on the restaurant and the menu arranged for your tour. Tell us about dietary requirements before booking.

Afternoon: Royal Tombs & Scenic Architecture

01:30 PM – Khai Dinh Tomb

Drive to the hillside tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh. Unlike older tombs, this structure blends traditional Vietnamese design with modern Western architectural styles, featuring intricate mosaic walls made from colorful ceramic and glass pieces.

03:00 PM – Minh Mang Tomb

Next, visit the peaceful resting place of Emperor Minh Mang. Set among quiet pine forests, lotus ponds, and traditional pavilions, this tomb represents perfect balance between nature and royal architecture.

04:30 PM – Hotel Drop-off

Relax on the drive back to Hue city center. Your driver and guide will drop you off safely at your hotel, wrapping up a memorable day in the ancient capital.
